Very quiet and quaint. Would have liked to have curtains in addition to the horizontal blinds as they didn't seem to close completely. If someone were to look through the window they'd be able to peer into our room which made it less comfortable knowing there was a lack of privacy from other guests passing by. Other than that the room was adequate. The pillows were soft & the bed was comfy. We had plenty of towels & the heater/ac unit worked fine. The only thing is that the sight doesn't allow you to see what the difference is in the rooms you select. I would have liked a tub(which we thought they all had) but our room had a standing shower. The shower head & water flow was great but would have preferred to relax in a tub after a long drive. I think next time we're in the area we'll request a tub & the garden view. The continental breakfast came with plenty of options. There were bagels with cream cheese, cinnamon raisin bread, toast, yogurt, bananas and apples, corn flakes and Cheerios, mini blueberry muffins, coffee and mango or orange juice. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The place just had an all around tranquil vibe to it. There was plenty of parking away from the freeway and the general public & an added bonus was that the dollar store was within walking distance. My wife and I browsed around and picked up a bunch of snacks to munch on during our stay. I think the room we were in could have been in the $150 range rather than $200 but we know what to request for any future visits there. Overall this place gets a thumbs up.

I have stayed here now several times and have come to truly appreciate the feeling of the feeling of community here. Starting with the very sweet staff! They are always so kind and Wanting to ensure They make my stay the best! It is a very amicable and communal feeling! That is important to me because I have been traveling alone to deal with a family issue here in the area and having kind people around you It's very therapeutic. The other amazing your amazing thing I love about this place is the gardens. They have giant Magnolia trees with hammocks and beautiful outdoor seating. There is a fun swimming pool and hot tub and the family environment is so positive. Certainly the rooms and the building itself are old. The walls are quite thin but that has not proven to be much of an issue for me. If you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs. Just in case. I would say the value is certainly certainly helpful at a time like this and especially in marine county. Other rooms were averaging 250 to $300 a night! Granted, this is not a higher end brand brand but that actually does not mean much. Come give it a try and bring your family and kids for fun!

The property was quite beautiful with Birds of Paradise, fountains, a large green space with fire pits, nice interior, and an onsite restaurant. The continental breakfast was basic but adequate; however, don't expect any eggs or meat, mostly sugary carbs. The room was large and had lots of storage space and a fridge, perfect if you are spending multiple days here. I appreciated the refillable shampoo/conditioner/body wash/lotion/hand soap rather than small personal containers, which are such a waste of plastic. The hotel is right off Hwy 101. We had the room closest to the highway and could not hear the traffic while inside. Last, the property was close to a small shopping center with a grocery store (similar to a Whole Foods) and several restaurants - we walked there (15 min walk) but can easily drive. Plenty of parking on the property, no parking fee.

This little historic motel was a real surprise. From the outside, especially when you park next to your door, it does not look like much, even perhaps a bit run down. However, the rooms do not face the parking lot, the rooms face a gorgeous courtyard! Even more beautiful at night. With some huge trees planted in the 40's when the place was originally built. This Inn has been recently renovated, is very clean, comfortable, and staff was friendly. The courtyard is like an oasis. Tree swings and a hammock to relax in, a nice pool, and some yard games are set up to play. The grounds are covered in great looking AstroTurf. I would definitely stay here again.

Continental breakfast was great. A lot of choices and very high quality. Raisin bread was awesome. I mixed the Mango and orange juices, the bomb. The grounds were beautiful and a big surprise, the room TV was huge. Any kind of food is a short distance away. If you have bikes, the room was large enough for at lease 3. I loved the fact that there is a front and back door on the room we had. Car parking is in the back and the grounds are in the front. There is a restaurant on site but it wasn't open when we were there. We'll try it next time. The front desk people were friendly and helpful.
